We built WaveGrid because more of our clients' operations problems kept turning out to be device-management problems: a delivery fleet whose maintenance was scheduled on a fixed calendar instead of actual vehicle condition, a cold-chain warehouse with no early warning before a refrigeration unit failed, a hospital with no visibility into which medical equipment was actually due for service.
What it does
WaveGrid provisions, monitors, and helps maintain connected devices at fleet scale — currently managing over 45,000 devices in production. Three things we designed around from day one:
- Edge buffering. Devices queue telemetry locally during a connectivity gap and backfill on reconnect, so a dropped signal never means a permanent hole in your data.
- Predictive maintenance. Maintenance alerts come from telemetry patterns, not a fixed interval — catching problems before they cause downtime, not after.
- Device-type-agnostic schemas. The same fleet console manages vehicles, sensors, and meters side by side, because most of our clients' operations aren't managing just one device type.
Where it fits with the rest of the Wave suite
WaveGrid's telemetry feeds directly into WaveAI for anomaly detection, and into WaveCourier for fleet-vehicle health alongside delivery tracking — it's built to be the device layer under the rest of the suite, not a standalone silo.
